Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and AppStation Studio Pte. Ltd. ("we", "us") for using Townle at townle.com. By playing Townle, you agree to them.

1. The game

Townle is a free browser game in which you guess a mystery city each day. We may change, add or remove features, puzzles and content, or suspend or discontinue the game, at any time and without notice.

2. Who can play

You may use Townle if you can form a binding agreement with us. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Townle only with the permission of a parent or guardian.

3. Acceptable use

Townle is for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment. You agree not to:

• copy, scrape, download in bulk or republish the puzzles, answers, clues, images or other content;
• use Townle or its content to build or train a competing product, dataset or service;
• copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the game's code, except where the law expressly allows it;
• use bots, scripts or other automated means to access or play the game;
• interfere with the game, its servers or its ads, or try to get rewards without watching an ad;
• frame or mirror the site, or remove or obscure any copyright or other notices.

You are welcome to share your results using the built-in Share button and to post screenshots of your own games for non-commercial purposes.

4. Intellectual property

Townle - including its name, logo, design, code, puzzles, clues and images - is owned by AppStation Studio Pte. Ltd. or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Using the game does not give you any ownership of or rights in it, other than the limited right to play it under these terms. Third-party materials, such as GeoNames city data, are used under their own licences, listed on our About page.

5. Ads and third-party services

Hints are unlocked by optional rewarded ads provided by third parties. The results screen uses Google Maps, which is subject to the Google Maps Terms of Service. We are not responsible for third-party content, ads or services, and your use of them may be governed by their own terms. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Accuracy of content

Townle is a game, made for fun. Clues, facts, distances and directions are simplified and may contain mistakes. City photos are illustrative images created with the help of AI and may not show real places exactly. Please do not rely on Townle for travel, navigation or any other decisions.

7. Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions or corrections, we may use them freely without any obligation to you.

8. Disclaimer

Townle is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the game will be uninterrupted, error-free or that your saved progress will never be lost.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AppStation Studio Pte. Ltd. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Townle. Our total liability for any claim relating to Townle is limited to USD 50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Townle at any time. We may restrict or block access for anyone who breaks these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and disputes will be handled by the courts of Singapore. If you are a consumer, you keep any protections given to you by the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the updated terms.
